With a wealth of experience, Katrine brings warmth and wisdom to every session at Above and Beyond Counselling. Raised in a small regional town in NSW, she overcame personal childhood challenges to build a remarkable career dedicated to helping others. Holding undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in psychology, Leadership & Project Management from the Australian National University, Katrine began her journey as a Lifeline Australia counsellor while volunteering nights and weekends during her studies.

Katrine’s extensive background spans child protection, youth justice, and supporting families through complex issues like abuse, crime, bullying, substance use, homelessness, and domestic violence. Her work with youth offenders, victims, and families in the ACT Government honed her ability to connect with people of all ages facing life’s toughest challenges. Beyond counselling, Katrine’s success as an IT Project Manager for the ACT Public Library Service reflects her skill in navigating change and fostering collaboration, ensuring every project—and person—she works with thrives.

As a mother of five and a devoted partner, Katrine balances her professional passion with a vibrant family life, bringing empathy and understanding to her practice. Whether supporting adults, couples, children, or teens, Katrine creates a safe, welcoming space where you can find hope, healing, and growth.
